Visual Search Pony is a set of software utilities that allow the user to find video and image files, using their content. It includes video and image search, face recognition and trademark (logo) search. Visual Video Search allows one to select a clip that contains a part of a movie and find a full video, regardless of its actual location, filename, resolution or encoding. Visual Image Search allows the user to specify some picture and find other graphical files with similar visual appearance (color balance). Another major feature is ability to detect and recognize facial images: you can specify a photograph with a face, choose a folder with 10000 portrait images and find other pictures of the same person. The latest version is equipped with Visual Logo Search - utility allowing to look for trademark images, that can be very useful for copyrighting and advertising agencies. The utilities are also good for grouping duplicates or modified versions of the original photograph (video). These can be cropped versions, modified or distorted copies and screen copies (for a movie). The algorithms allow extracting only meaningful information, while skipping noise and even minor artificial changes. The interfaces are very simple and straightforward. All tools have a common interface and similar usage scenario. Visual image, logo and face searches support all known picture formats and many RAWs. Video search supports AVI.
