Chess Game is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard, a checkered gameboard with 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid. Each player begins the game with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. Each of the six piece types moves differently. To make a move in the game, click on the piece you wish to move, then click again to the square you wish to move it to. To play the black pieces, choose "swap" before the game begins. Although the objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent, chess games do not have to end in checkmate??”either player may resign which is a win for the other player.
